Every once in a while I find a tidbit that really moves me and inspires me and makes me all tingly. I'm actually hesitant to even post this. I'd rather just keep it for myself (and the millions who've already read it) and let you all languish in despair. But at heart I'm a generous guy. This article at the Guardian by a woman who interviewed Johnny Cash and then decided to give up journalism and be a creative writer like she'd always wanted is just the thing for one of those grey, hurricane-y East Coast days when you think about time and hopelessness a lot.
Sigur Ros music is also good for that. Not surprising: they're from Iceland. You can download a couple of albums worth there for free, and it's all good.
Thanks to Mike Daisey for the Guardian link.
Iceland. Dammit. I'll be there soon!
